Only 3 years of science?

Hi! I’m a senior and a dual enrollment student taking all of my classes at my community college. Time has come for me to register for the second semester and I’m looking for a bit of input.

In general, for colleges, one semester of a college course equates one year of a high school course.

I have taken 3 years of science (honors bio, honors chem, and AP physics 1) but I guess I doubled up last year because I also took honors anatomy & physiology. It was basically A&P 1 at Rutgers University drawn out over a year instead of a semester (I got college credit for it, too). Would it be okay if I didn’t take a science this year? My English professor recommended me for honors next semester and I’d like to take that but I’m also taking a more advanced Spanish class and Calculus 2, and I’d rather take something like psych rather than a 200 level bio class which is what I was going to do. I suppose I could take a lower level bio class but I feel like with psych even if it’s easy I won’t already know everything. This semester I’m taking English 1, calc 1, computer science, a history class, and a health class. Is taking psych instead of a science next semester okay?

Thanks! I’m applying to a lot of liberal arts colleges with the intention of majoring in computer science.

It sounds like you have it all covered. Check your school list to see if they require four years of science. if they do contact them and see if your total science curriculum passes that.
