Only 8 total GPA Units?

When I called the main Cornell registrar, they said that 8 total GPA units on the enrollment appointment chart meant that the 8 credits is what the individual college would allow you to take per term towards your GPA. That wouldn't make sense if you take in ILR, 2 blocked classes, 1 FWS, 1 or 2 electives equals at least 15 graded courses??? Can someone clarify this?

I neat 15 graded or GPA credits.

I meant that you should have about 15 graded credit a semester. Does ILR limit this to 8 as indicated on the enrollment appointment chart?

I’m pretty sure it means to be a full time student, paying full tuition and a student insurance rate, you need to take at least 8 credits counted toward your GPA. The university requires that you take a minimum of 12 credits to be a full time student, therefore, 8 of the 12 have to be for grade (the other 4 can be pass/fail).

If you are not a full time student, you pay by the credit hour… this is usually for kids taking only 1 or 2 classes to graduate or something like that.

However, could be something else haha.

this 10char

Thank you jcas. However, shouldn’t the chart indicate minimum 8 GPA units and not max
as it displays???
