Only a HS Junior but ...

Hi, I'm only a hs junior this year but I want to see if I could get in. I'm also in one of the top 10 high schools in NYC and top 100 in the whole country. So saying if I accomplished what I listed, what are my chances?

Heres what I have so far:
SAT - M-640 CR -580 W-640 1860 (January but definitely retaking in May/June/October to get [hopefully] get over 2100)
APs (taken and taking this year) - AP World (4), AP English Language & Comp. (may hoping for 4/5), AP Biology (may definitely wants a 5), AP US History (may hoping for a 3/4)
SAT IIs - Biology (may/june), English (may/june)
Unweighted GPA -3.4 (i know it's low but sometimes you can't be the best at all the classes )
Weighted GPA - 3.6
Senior Year Course Load - planning to take AP English, AP Statistics, AP Calculus
Averages (weighted, school doesn't show unweighted) - Freshman (92), Sophmore(86-87?), Junior (96 [theres still half the year left so trying to get a 100+ weighted average])(Don't colleges look at your junior year 1st term the most and if they see improvement, it's good?)

Extracurriculars:
Key Club(freshman year), Mural Club (freshman and sophmore year), DECA (going to become president/vice president) (also joining NHS next year)
Job/Work Experience: Teacher's Assistant at an afterschool
(am planning to spend my whole summer with an internship at a buisness company)
Summer Activities - Schooling?
Talents - Piano classically - 3 years, Violin classically -3 years + continuing

-planning to ask my AP English, AP Biology, and APUSH teachers for recommendations

Also, do they take AP World credits? What kind of APs does StonyBrook take credits for?

Stony Brook takes APs for all courses if you get at least a 3. Not all count for particular courses, however; some just get you DEC credit, others get you credit for a course, still others require you to get a certain score (or in the case of Economics, do well on Macro AND Micro) to skip a course.

That aside, I think you’ve got what it takes.

thanks! do we also need to take anything like an ACT?

You don’t need the ACT, but I took it anyway just to be safe. If you can do well on the SAT, you can do well on the ACT with minimal preparation. (I got a 2160 on the SAT with lots of prep, and a 30 on the ACT later with none!)

When you get in, you’ll need to take a math placement exam unless you get a certain score on one of the AP Calculus tests. This will determine which math courses you can take. There’s a writing test as well, which lets you place out of one of two required writing courses, but I don’t know if that’s mandatory or not.
