<p>Maybe it's because I'm most likely not going to be valedictorian of my high school class, but I seriously don't think it's that much of an honour. If you really want it desperately, you can always, and I mean always, hedge your classes to generate the highest GPA.</p>

<p>Besides, at my school, the weighting only affects class rank; it doesn't affect GPA.</p>

<p>did it ever occur to you that there might be classes that are -gasp- even MORE DIFFICULT than AP....like the IB??? </p>

<p>AP seems like such a joke to me, it's all memorization and regurgitating (sp) what you've learned.</p>
