Only one recommendation is required for admission, right? And you can choose whether it is a counselor or teacher, right?

One is the bare minimum requirement. However, I'd go with 2 to be on the safe side. (One counselor and one teacher)

but they only ask for one...and i already sent in my application and i only have two weeks until the dec 10 deadline - will this screw me over?

If you sent in one, then that's still ok enough.

OHH i have a question..what if i dont have the barcodes required to send the letters of rec??? I'm going to call the admissions office tomorrow and see if there's anything i can do..

caliplaya, check this thread for your answer: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=106882

You'd be wasting your time calling admissions.

if you don't have a USC student ID (i.e. you didn't turn in the first part of the application) and you don't have the barcodes, use your social security number. that's what i did.

my GC called USC and asked them.
