SAT I : 800M, 730V
SAT II : 800 math2c, 800 writing, 790 chem, 800 bio

AP scores: Fives on BC, Bio, Euro, US, CompSci and four on Lang. Taking 6 this year.

Subjective:
Essay: This piece was about my interaction with my aunt who has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. I discuss how my relationship with her inspired me to become a medical researcher. I tied it into MIT's motto, mens et manus
Teacher Recs: My physics teacher knows me really well, thought I was funny, and is my advisor for my independent study. My French teacher coordinated my research project.
Counselor Rec: My counselor is also my history teacher. We got along really well.
Hook (if any): really deep focus with biological research, creative writing.

Location/Person:
State or Country: Kansas -- ha ha
School Type: private
Ethnicity: caucasian
Gender: male

Other Factors:
I'm really big with science olympiad and science bowl. We go to nationals in both, and I have national medals.
Really good interview -- I think it was 4 hours long. She was an author so I had a chance to talk about my writing and the manuscript I have. This conversation, I think, revealed to her that I was creative and fun.
Won a trip to Canada to study French.

[]I didn't really have any "leadership" positions and the only clubs I was in were band(although that isn't really a club), math club, and the rocket team.
[li]My interview went fairly well.[/li][/ul]

General Comments: I think being from Oklahoma and having Native American blood might have had an affect since there are a lot people that were deferred with better "paper" credentials than I have.

that or we're following the given format. don't be so quick to judge :) what with this entire process, the one thing learned should be that few people are well-represented on paper.

to SDFried: WOW, you had a 4 hour interview?? mine was barely 45 minutes...

My interview went until the coffee shop closed. It was about 2.5 hrs. Sadly, we ran into my really sketchy english teacher from junior year and his new girlfriend. That was a bit interesting.
