<p>I have been looking real hard across this forum for some good stats of ppl who got rejected and accepted into Binghamton School of Managment to give myself (and eveyone else too) a great resource to determine their chances. </p>

<p>If anyone wants to show-off thier awesomeness for getting accepted to SOM, please feel free to list ur stats (sat, gpa, ec's, hooks, etc. ) here. </p>

<p>If anyone was accepted to fast-track mba, that works too. </p>

<p>And if u were rejected, that would also rlly help if u feel confident enough to tell us all ur high-school stats. </p>

<p>I know the odds of this thread actually catching on are slim, but i might as well give it a shot. </p>

3.77 gpa weighted (out of 4.5 - we have A+'s)
Solid courseload (4 APs and a bunch of honors classes)
33 ACT (35-Science 33-Math 33-Reading 31-English)
jv soccer/tennis
play guitar, drums, and baritone horn
Average essay and pretty good Recs (although i don’t really know my guidance counselor well)
Legacy (Dad went to Bing)
Basically, my app was garbage. I got in with my ACT and legacy.</p>

<p>I applied to SOM early action, and got deferred and i was wondering if any SOM students that haven’t heard back for binghamton yet have gotten any emails, or if that whole “pay deposit thing” works for u guys. Mine doesnt work and im freaking out so hopefully SOM just hasn’t finalized the decisons.</p>

<p>my deposing thing doesn’t work, and the worst part about it is that the 2 ppl i showed it to in school had it work but neither were SOM.

90 gpa… at a top 60 nationally ranked high school
and a 1850 SATS</p>

Top 15% of class
EC’s: Mock Trial VP, Peer Mediator, Ambassador Club, National Honor Society Member/Tutor, International Honor Society Member.
I think my essay and EC’s really helped me get in because my test scores are just okay.</p>

<p>And congrats TimeTime! that srlly imppressive and shatters the belief i had that all ppl that get into Som have 95 gpa and 1325 SAT. (i got that from their website, guess its not so accurate). </p>

<p>Thanks a lot! I honestly didnt even know how selective it was until after I got in. Then I was like omg =O it’s so exclusive sounding. But I guess they are looking for diversity or something. Good luck with getting in, I’m sure you can do it !</p>

<p>I’ve had all honors since freshman year since I’m in a scholars program in my school. This year I take: Calculus Honors, AP US History II, AP World History, World Religions, AP English, Video Production, and Intro to Business</p>

<p>Grade Xth - 87 % Grade Xth - 89% (student from India)</p>

<p>Best thing about the essay was its originality, i guess.</p>

<p>I recieved acceptance into SOM through an e-mail on 4th March.
Funny thing is, my application was complete on 14th feb, and the deadline was 15th feb.
(Sister pass out from Bing watson.)</p>

<li>EC’s: School’s DECA club (a business club)- won numerous competitions, ski team, a few different honors societies (some board positions held).</li>
<li>Others: Worked in an ice cream store, now currently employed at a notable retailer, well-traveled.</li>
<li>Hook: Legacy, but a kid from my school who applied to SOM also had legacy (but higher GPA and worse test scores than me), got deferred.</li>

EC’s: they were ok, nothing special
Essay: i think it was ok, I have done better</p>

<p>definitley wasn’t the best application in the world. Didn’t actually expect to get in, should of applied undecided aswell</p>
