I am questioning whether or not to retake my SATs in the fall.
I took them for the first time in March and got a 1360/2050 (CR-670, M-690, W-690, Essay-10).
I took the ACTs in April and got a 34 composite (E-33, M-33, R-32, S-36, Essay-10, Combined E+W-32).

These are all the schools I'm thinking of applying to:

Boston College
Boston University
Brown University
Northeastern University
Providence College
Suffolk University
Temple University
Tufts University
University of Connecicut
University of Pennsylvania
University of the Sciences Phlidelphia
Widener University

I have checked that all of my schools accept the ACT instead of SAT I+IIs.

Should I retake the SAT so I can submit both scores anyways?
Or should I just submit the ACT and be able to relax?

Are most scholarships based on SAT scores?

I would relax and submit the ACT score. If the school accepts ACT scores, then they will surely consider them when determining merit scholarship awards.

Congratulations on your ACT score!

D’s college counselor for hire says forget the sat’s and concentrate on the act’s only.

Submit the ACT. It’s a fine score.

ALL colleges accept either the ACT or SAT. Go with the ACT.

Thanks everyone.
If anyone has any more information about the scholarship portion of it that would be very helpful. My guidance councilor mentioned that alot of scholarships only use SATs but she could just be crazy.

I wouldnt recommend Widener. Are you looking for financial/merit aid? Some sort of 5/6/7 year medical program?

Submit only the ACT because you did better on that one. With your composite of 34, if the rest of your application is as good you’ll surely get some happy news next spring.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

your ACT is approx. 200 pts higher than your SAT. don’t even think twice about paying the collegeboard additional money. you’d be wasting your time.

diontechristmas, I’m looking for any kind of aide I can get. no special program.
and why wouldn’t you recommend Widener?
