Only taking 3.5 APs - lame?

When done graduation, I will only have taken 3.5 APs - Calc BC, Physics, Government, and Macroeconomics (half-year).

Will this look lame to colleges? I've been taking 3-4 honors classes every year.

As far as I remember, my school offers these APs: Physics, Chem, Bio, Calc AB/BC, US History, Euro, Government, English.

How bad will I be off?

How many APs can/do people usually take at your school?

what colleges are you looking at?

Reaches: Brown, Cornell
Matches: Lehigh, Bucknell, Colgate
Safeties: ???

For now, my list is constantly changing. But those are the base ones.

BUMP...

I am in a similar situation-- I will have only taken 2 or 3 AP exams; and
2.5-3.5 AP courses, with honors courses out the wazoo otherwise.

Well to take the AP sciences, you have to take the regular course before. So some take it over the summer and take the AP instead of the honors.

Maybe 1/4 or 1/5 of the junior class takes AP USH. I was in it earlier this year, but decided it wasn't worth the effort. I'm not interested in history at all and thought my effort could be better placed in other areas.

For AP Calc, you need to either take it senior year or take a summer class to skip Algebra II or Precalc.

AP Euro and Gov't are senior classes, so only seniors take them.

AP English is a senior class as well.

no, it will not look lame. i only took two (calc and spanish) and got into cornell along with a bunch of other schools.
