Is there anyway someone from the community (i.e. professors, doctors, etc) could send in the counsellor/teacher reports for me? Or can I just attach their recomendation?

The Counselor or Teacher Report, part II, says,
"As part of the application for admission to the University of Southern California, we ask students to obtain a report from a school counselor or teacher. We seek the comments and evaluations of school officials who know the student well..."

Since it says "school" twice in the instructions, you would be wise to use someone from your school.

Thanks, but do you know if we can send other recomendations along with are application?

I know there are other schools that ask for outside recs, but USC doesn't so I wouldn't do it. But it probably wouldn't be a deal breaker. Maybe a student here can tell you if they did it.

Anyone??????

From what I know, you should only submit additional recs if they are excellent. Keep in mind: they have to read quite a lot, so the rec should be worth it.

My D enquired about sending in a supplementary recommendation from outside school, in her case a letter from her research mentor who volunteered to write one. She was told it was fine.

Sounds good... THANK YOU!
