<p>It says on the website that if you don't have an ONYEN account, then you can create one with your PID. When I looked up my PID and tried to create one it says: you are not authorized to create an onyen account. </p>
<p>Does anyone know what this means? I haven't received an ONYEN from UNC yet, so I figured I would make one, but it won't let me. Will UNC eventually send me an ONYEN and password? Or have they already sent these letters out? </p>

<p>yea mine said the same thing. After you have accepted your admission and paid the deposit, it then takes a day or two for the system to process, then you can create your onyen. THEN it works.</p>

<p>Have you come to the message yet which offers you the option of deferring your registration deposit and housing deposit because of getting a scholarship or expecting financial aid? I checked that because of a scholarship, and the site let me create an ONYEN immediately.</p>

<p>^What's the exact problem for you two? Creating an ONYEN account seemed pretty straight-forward to me. I clicked "Create an ONYEN" and after that, it took about ten minutes.</p>

<p>I could not create one either. Had I been able to I may have known that I was selected to submit my tax documents.</p>
<p>Just created one - if you don't know your PID they have the ability to tell it to you if you submit your SSN and birthdate.</p>

<p>ONYENs are for students, not potential students. A few days after UNC receives your deposit your PID will be allow to have an ONYEN.</p>
<p>isn't there a way to use your PID and social to get in ? that is what we did now that i think about it.....
check that way.</p>

there you can use your social or PID and BIRTHDATE.
MAKE SURE YOU ENTER THE BIRTHDATE LIKE THEY SAY--most common error.</p>
