Ooh!!! An easy question to be answered... :)

I’ve got a question that’s probably dumb and already been answered somewhere on this site, but I’m going to ask it anyway…

When you are applying to the UC’s, do the other UC’s see which schools you are applying to? For example…if you apply to UCLA…does UCSB know that you are applying there?

Just curious! Thanks for the help!

bumpity bump bump bump...

I would also like to know the answer to this. Consider it bumped.

I Think so, but not sure. I heard that sometimes they use that as a decision factor. Though, still only from what I hear which is not reliable.

I remember someone saying this was true, then again i am not positive. I do not know if they use it as a decision factor

i want to know too...bumping...

?????????????????????????????

i never really thought about it, but I wonder if they know how that could impact their decision

Well there was a thread a few days ago that let people guess whether somebody got into Berkeley or not based on their stats. I remember one of the people had good stats, but the admissions counselor said "I wonder if he wouldn't be just as happy at UC Irvine."

Does that mean that there's a possibility they knew that he applied to Irvine, as well?

He may have sent his application by mail, whereas online applications may give a little bit of confidentiality.

hmm...i'll let y'all know if i find out the answer. i can't seem to find it anywhere! argh

Lol, guess it's not so 'easy' of a question to be answered..

Yes let us know :)
