Ooops, I forgot to mail the decline-postcard to my rolling-admission safety school

<p>My safety school was really kind to me, and even sent me a hand-written note, but in the end I chose (with a heavy heart) to decline them. Their letter did tell me to respond by May 1, but on the Common App it says they still accept applications up to June!</p>

<p>I'd like to keep them as an option for graduate school (they remain quite the bang for the buck for graduate-level engineering and law), so will my image be hurt a lot by the fact that I emailed in my decision two days late?</p>
