Oops...I made a huge mistake on my app.

On my parent's occupation,

I said that my dad was a "family restaurant owner" and that my mom was the co-owner.

And apparently, this is wrong because "family restaurant" implies something along the lines of big famous chains like "Friendly's family restaurant"

rather than a small little restaurant run by a family.

XD

Should I correct this?

doubt it's a big deal...

it won't matter, don't worry about it. It's not a mistake at all, they won't notice it.

"It's not Friendly's???!?! Liar! Reject him/her!"

Friendly's is awesome. Wish i had them where i moved now.

Don't worry about it in the least bit.

But what if they thought I was super rich and then compared my successes to those of other economically inclined students?

it's okay, the friendly's near me sucks and is really slow.

i'm sure it's fine :)

To me, a "family restaurant" is precisely what you described, not Friendly's lol.

^ Oh, lovely! Thanks.

Does anyone else think about "family restaurant" this way?

I think you are exactly right.

I think of "family restaurant" as you described also.

Family restaurant just implies that it's a restaurant the whole family can go to (nice, friendly, clean, no strippers, etc.). It doesn't imply that it's necessarily part of a chain.

Assuming it's a normal family, of course. Other families might go on regular outings to the local strip club.
