For my georgetown early action interview, the guy asked me what other schools I was applying to, and I said like "hopkins, tufts" and he asked me what else... I felt obligated to answer and I said "Brown"... Would this lower my chances of admission since I said any ivy league school and wouldn't think that I would be interested? Also, he asked me what were my favorite movies and I answered as one of them "psycho" and maybe another horror movie (shining maybe?)... Will this cause the admissions people to think badly on me because I like the suspenseful horror movies....

well, bobmallet1. i'm not sure what to say...

umm i dont think it should harm you because you were telling the truth

did his pen move when you said those things? if not, you don't have to worry. if he did, you still don't have to worry.

If you love Psycho (even the Shining) and your interviewer doesn't appreciate that, they're doing you a favor if they reject you!!! I do alum interviews for my school (not G'town) and would have put that down as original thought from an 18 year old. I don't know if yours was alum or admission office. I actually ask the applicants where else they looked at as a conversation topic; you looked at ABCD and chose A. Wouldn't write it down unless the answer was especially meaningful..."His siblings all went to B and want him to follow but the theatre program at B is weak and he fell in love with the theater program at A..."

I don't think he wrote it down... It was more of a casual side question when I said I liked movies

ur fine then

Sorry, I'll clarify...I don't take notes during interviews but the college wants me to email a summary after, that's when I write down anything interesting. Liking Psycho is interesting...liking Psycho and being in the taxidermy club is scary....
