i got a C in geometry my freshman year and a C in chemistry 1 honors my sophomore year
but i currently have a gpa of 4.4
if i get atleast a 2200 on the SAT
do i have a chance at ucla?

oh, and i live in california..

and if you need anything about ecs and stuff, just tell me. thanks!

freshman year doesn't count. One C won't kill you if yoru toher grades are good.

UCLA: Safe Match

I got 2 C's my freshman year and not very good GPAs my sophomore year. I'm doing fine :o)

man, my friend had a D in Alg. 2 sophmore yr and guess what? He's now deciding btwn UCLA and USC.
I had had two Cs in AP Physics and I'm in, but that's cuz I'm retaking it rite now and acing it. I did received straight As for AP Bio and Honors Chem the following year.
As long as you show upward trend and don't hang ur head, ur fine.

you have a good shot, but ucla admissions are random. i know people of your caliber who were rejected

well i was rejected from cal. into ucla... and davis and san diego. i got a C in my math class in soph year. and a couple of Bs. bad, bad... but i made up for it in junior year by getting straight As with tough classes.
but like namaste said...admissions people are so random. i thought i was getting into cal, but alas... i should change my username now.
anyways, don't sweat it. just try really hard to improve your sat scores. sat 2 scores can really make a diff too because they let the admissions people see if you really deserved those As in your tough classes or if your teachers were just pushovers. i got 730 on lit and 720 on math 2. not hot, but above 7 is good enough.
