I just realized I made an error on all but the last one of my fourteen applications. When writing about my secondary school, I put my date of entry as 09/2000, when of course, I entered in 09/2001. The thing is, the first time this question was asked of me, I thought I did the arithmetic right for getting the year, but obviously, I made a mistake. Naturally, I assumed that to be the date for all of my applications until I caught the mistake on my last application. . .and I checked my applications thoroughly as well. . .
So, what should I do. . .they’ve already long since been submitted. . .will it matter? Will they be able to figure it out from my transcript? What should I do to fix the mistake if it matters?
Ugh. And I thought this mess was finally over. . .

Please help me out here. . .I'm aware its a simple error, but I'm worried about it. . .

yea i had to do math to figure out the dates ive been at schools K-12.

If you call the admissions office and tell them the error... they'd probably think you're stupid for caring about something so insignificant.

I don't think you should do anything because it seems as though they would have to do backwards math to figure out which grades you were when/where. Don't sweat it. They should be able to figure it out from transcript

I don't think they'll even notice it. Don't worry.

Your transcripts will show that you started taking classes in 2001 and if they find the error and think its suspicious they will call your school and your school will clear it up...

Personally, I wouldnt worry about it.

Well, I actually started taking three high school classes in 8th grade during middle school, which would appear on my transcripts for the 2000-2001 year, but it clearly states that these classes were taken in 8th grade.

In this case, technically I'm not lying by saying that I started taking high school classes in 09/2000, but the question asks when did I enter high school, which would be 09/2001. So, I'm thinking they'll either catch the mistake or they'll think I went to my high school to take those courses in 8th grade (which might actually make me look better). Either way, you guys are right - its a minor, stupid mistake and I probably shouldn't worry about it. Either way, I'll bring it up to my guidance counselor when I report to her that I finished my applications. Thanks for your help, everyone.
