OOS admission notification?

I know Texas is rolling notification, but when do you think my S might expect notification for his OOS engineering application? He had all his stuff in by early December. Are other OOS applicants getting notified? How long is it taking for the rest of you?

I recall that lot of out of staters heard in February last year
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/464512-all-oos-spots-ut-austin-full.html?highlight=admitted%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/464512-all-oos-spots-ut-austin-full.html?highlight=admitted</a>
and a lot of others did not hear until mid to late March.

I'm OOS, applied in early December, and was accepted to the College of Liberal Arts about two weeks ago.

I'm OOS, applied Dec 1st, was accepted Dec 10th to College of Liberal Arts

I don't know what they are doing this year. Last year, unless you got into an honors program, OOS kids didn't hear back til mid-February.

My online status shows I got into Cockrell now.

Anyone else from OOS has heard of their admission decision? More importantly, has anyone from OOS been rejected?

PS: How does UT look at the rank in this situation? I'm salutatorian in a class of about 240 people. The problem is that the school is a public school that not really competive and its really not too hard to acheive this kind of rank, but my test scores are still on the high end of UT's admitted students (based on their OOS report from 2007). I really didnt have a choice of where to go to school since there are only two schools in my county. One is private, but it has a graduating senior class of about 8 people. I figured this would'nt helf me at all.

I applied late Nov and I still haven't heard back from them. Sorry to threadjack, but would my decision be delayed if I sent in an incomplete Honors app? The teacher that was supposed to write my rec never did...

forgot to say, applied to engineering

Ya me to disasterpiece...I started an honors application but never finished it..I doubt that would delay anything...I'm not too sure.

I started one and didn't finish it.

bump....any one from OOS hear back?

My friend turned his app around Feb 19 and was accepted 1-2 weeks later. I, however, turned mine in on Feb 15 and still haven't received word.

Do you know his stats? He most likely had amazing test scores and rank...Feb 15? are you talking about last year or what? I thought the deadline was like January 15th.

I found out I got into Cockrell earlier this week on the online status page. My stats were 34 act, 4.0 UW, like top 7%.

Congrats athenos! You gonna go?

Well yeah. Friend had 35 on ACT, 4.0 GPA, and ranked 1. I'm talking about this year, since the deadline was extended to the 20th.

You must mean Jan 19 and Jan 15 (not Feb 19 and Feb 15).

My OOS daughter had the grades and the test scores, but our school doesn't rank. I think she found out right around this time last year. Sometime between Feb 1 and Feb 10.

i'm an OOS applicant at UT. still haven't received a decision, but I applied to the Honors College, so maybe that's delaying my decision...

Hey MidWestMom was your daughter accepted? and if you dont mine me asking what were her stats?
