there is a girl at my school who got denied from UNC (in-state) but got accepted into Berkeley (???). Do schools such as Berkeley make it easier for OOS students to get in? What other major flagship schools give an advantage to OOS students?

At Berkeley, the average GPA and test scores of OOS admits are higher and it costs about $25,000 more, so I would say that there is no advantage given to OOS applicants.

Thanks! I’ve not seen that breakdown for the SUNY schools that I’m interested in. It would be great if all the schools were that transparent.
