OOS Chance Me

Hi there. Sorry for all the chance me spam, but I was wondering if I could get in as a CS major from New York. Stats:

UW GPA: 3.85
W GPA: 4.15
ACT:35
SAT: Didn’t Take
SAT II: 800 Math 2, 730 Chem(I am a junior and planning on taking US & Physics before I apply)
Rank: School doesn’t

Will have taken 12 APs before applying. Current Courses:
AP Physics C
AP Calc BC
AP Seminar
AP Language
AP Psychology
AP Computer Science
AP US History
Science Research
Math Research

ECs: Robotics, Tech Club(President as of 9th grade to now), Science Olympiad, Mock Trial, Quiz Bowl, Model UN
Awards: AP Scholar, National Honor Society, National Foreign Language Honor Society, Trying to get Mu Alpha Theta in school, Took an online algorithm class last summer taught by a Stanford professor
Volunteer: Volunteered at local Kumon(then I started working there), In school Creative Arts Program where I volunteer(it is basically babysitting)
Essays: I don’t know how they will go(hopefully good)
Recs: Psych and Comp Sci teachers(had each of them for at least two years and they are my favorite teachers)
Hooks: First generation(if that helps)

Any response is a good response. I also plan on trying to do some research over the summer. If you need anything else, just tell me. =D

Good chance although acceptance rate for OOS is a lot lower with tougher applicant pool since the top 5 percent of every instate high school applies to UVA. If you can make close to 2200-2300 then almost guarenteed.

Tip from an OOS who got in, be genuine when applying, if an activity or position really is meaningful and not fluff let that vibe show

thanks for all of the advice

I think you look like a great candidate. I just love the advice that I always hear- Be yourself and genuine in essays. I think that once you hit wonderful stats, it is really up to the entire application and especially essays and recs. So many times I have heard ( and seen) kids doing things they think colleges will like. Not a great idea. Following true passions and things you enjoy are the best. Good luck!
