OOS Chance...please....

I'm a guy hoping to go oos from Oregon, not exactly tar heel country, but my dad was a morehead scholar at Chapel Hill and my uncle, aunt, and cousin all graduated from UNC-CH as well. I'm just hoping to get some feedback if i even have a shot of making it in oos.

Corvallis High School (pretty competitive public school)
GPA: 4.0 Unweighted
By the end of high school will have taken 4 AP's, (Chem, Stats, Calc AB, and US History)
Rank 1 of 339 (tied with about 8 kids)
Havent gotten my SAT scores back but PSAT's said i was in 1900-2050 range but hopfully i got a bit better than that

Any feedback would be appreciated

Work on your SATs.... but great for everything else

I don't know much about sports, but have you tried to get recruited for basketball? Work hard on your essays, strengthen your SAT (though that doesn't look like it's a serious issue), and make sure you make it clear that you care about your service.

I don't think your stats are good enough for OOS. You would probably be fine if you lived in NC. It is really hard to say; OOS competition is fierce.

I've never actually heard anything about it--but gosh, I would think that your dad being a morehead would give more boost than just a regular alumni.

I'm confused. Are you a senior now? or a junior and will be captain in bb next year?

Is there any way you can take some more APs? I'm assuming you're still a junior.

I'm to this sight but I was just reading around and would like to give OOS students hope. First off I'm a miltary child and I live overseas so I don't have all that most of your schools offer but my SAT scores pale in comparison to some of yours. I'll give you what I did then I'll let you be the judge.
