I'm in one of the most, if not the most, competitive public school districts in North Carolina </p>

<p>I'm a junior and my current unweighted gpa = 3.53 weighted=3.89
SAT: 1810 (planning to take it again in October)
SAT Subject Tests: Taking in November
My current class rank is 29/166
White Female</p>

<p>Next year I'm planning to take AP Comparitive Government, AP Human Geography, AP English Lit, and a french class at UNC-CH</p>

<p>Depends on if UCSC decides to jack up selectivity again. If you were in-state I’d say guaranteed. OOS I think you have a good shot.</p>

<p>^ I didn’t know that in state people are more likely to get accepted than out of state. But like he said if you were in state id say a very good chance. But what makes a person from North Carolina want to come to UCSC? I mean go to school all the way across the country to not attend like Stanford or Berkley is a bit odd i must say.</p>

<p>Loly- do u plan to apply to UNC? i mean if you get ur gpa up and sat scores up, you could just go to chappel hill. But, UCSC is good to, recently went to the beach, and realized im luck to live in cali :slight_smile: and your in for sure</p>

<p>halopower: yes, i plan to apply to UNC. I can’t raise my gpa by the time I would apply to UNC EA. I plan on taking the SAT again in October, and hopefully that score will raise.</p>
