Sister currently enrolled at UVA (I know this isn't a legacy or anything, but I think it might help at least a little)
Also, I'm a girl applying to SEAS.
Chances, anyone?

I think you've got a very strong shot at acceptance, but of course, it's always up in the air. I probably would have dropped the Who's who status, it's a bit corny and not very special. Your EC's are good, but a bit predictable and, well,..... a little boring, vanilla. How do you stand out? Just being a good student doesn't open the door. Competitive students at UVA all have your stats. Tell me why you are special? What makes an adcom say "wow" about you?
Oh, and please excuse, I'm just being a devil's advocate right now in my above paragraph. You're SAT's, ACT, rank, and AP load are great and extremely competitive. You should be proud and you will probably be able to go to most any place you choose! Best of luck!

It's hard to show uniqueness just through grades, scores, and ec's. What I do doesn't necessarily define who I am. That's where my essays come in. I feel pretty confident about them. They were funny, fairly original, and I think they gave a pretty good glimpse of who I am as a person, not just as a student. I'm hoping the essays give me that extra edge the adcoms are looking for.

Good! That's so important, and I can tell by your stats and comments, that you understand how important they are. I'm guessing~40-50% chance of admission. That's much better than the 27% chance for overall OOS adm.
It's just a guess though, from little-ole-me, so don't take it too much to heart. You've got great stats though, and I'm betting on you!
