I am fairly confident that I will get in, but don't know for sure considering I'm white, male, and OOS. Is there any chance for a scholarship

A 3.9 UMich GPA aloing with a top 5% class rank is definitely good. But your SAT/ACT are only about average by Michigan standards. Will you get in? Probably (Michigan is a match for you). But will you get a scholarship? Not likely. This year, 25% of Michigan's Freshman class graduated in the top 1% of their class and got 33+/1480+ on the ACT/SAT. Michigan only gives scholarships to a fraction of those students.

do you mean that 25 percent did both? I don't think so.

If the upper quartile scored 33+ on their ACT and the upper quartile were in the top 1% of their class, it doesn't necessarily follow that that quartile is the same set of students. A lot of the 33+ kids are not in the top 1% of the class and vice versa. I think your use of statistics is misleading.

That's a good point Cincinnatistudent. 27% graduated in the top 1% of their class, 25% scored over a 1480 or 33 on the SAT/ACT and 28% had straight 4.0 graduating GPAs. It doesn't mean that those are all the same 25-28%. However, since 70% of Michigan students graduated in the top 5% of their class, and over 50% had 1350+/31+ on the SAT/ACT, there is going to be serious competition for scholarships.
