OOS decisions?

Also, in the very top right of the MyBlueHenHome they have an “Announcements” tab which looks like a piece of paper on a bulletin board. One of those links is for Registration for Decision Days.

On mine, April 9 and 16 only have 1pm, DD is all day. But I’m already registered so maybe that’s why…

They said “Decision Day” is an all day event for accepted students.

If the FAFSA is the common factor, let’s remember they like to do the acceptance and financial offer together and hopefully it was just a mistake of putting up the decision early for some. We have been told these were going to come out in waves. My only concern is that this was a reach for D and I’m hoping it wasn’t a mistake…

yuppit- Right, and I’m already registered for the all day, so maybe that’s why I don’t have that option under the visit tab.

I have the Information Tours and Sessions tab (Which includes Decision Days in it). It also shows me the facebook group and tells me at the very bottom I applied for Fall 2011 and am admitted for Fall 2011. I have applied and they have received my FAFSA.

I am posting that information just so those who may be missing things on their MyBlueHenHome can compare what they have with mine.

UDel15, very sorry to hear about how the differences in MyBlueHenHome pages is affecting you. The best you can do is speculate now and maybe a clear consensus will come about between now and Monday. If there seems to be confusion on Monday, I would suggest you call the admissions office. Best of luck and I hope to see your daughter at UDel next year!

Also, yes, you are probably right as to why that isn’t under your visit tab.

udel sorry but I have the same thing  Under April 9th and 16th I only have a 1pm slot, nothing else. I did not sign up for anything, and it still says waiting for my FAFSA

wilkey- I really hope this is just a timing issue. Since they have made changes, it would seem someone might be working this weekend. I’m hesitant to call as we have a reservation, but we’ll see if I can hold out til Monday with all this doubt. Hope they resolve this in the positive soon…

Just an update.

I tried signing up for a Decision Day and it said the form was unavailable.

I think they might have taken down the Decision Day tab for everyone because they recognized the form wasn’t available and they are trying to fix it.

The My Blue Hen website (which they did tell us to check frequently, so I don’t feel that we are doing anything inappropriate here) is a bit confusing. I will post where we are so people can compare: Yesterday, we had the link “Register for Decision Days;” opened it and got a big congratulations, you are accepted. We registered. Now there is no more congratulations except in the Decision Day Details which says something like “We can’t wait to congratulate you in person.” Nothing else in D’s status has changed: Still have “Thank you for applying” and “Decision coming in the mail” (or something similar). They are waiting for FAFSA. Now, on the FAFSA…we said on the original common app we would not apply for need based aid. Husband randomly decided to submit FAFSA but did it a few days late. I don’t know if they even know to pull the FAFSA, so God only knows when we will actually get a letter if they are sending out acceptances and financial awards together…

Hello UDel 15. We are in the same boat you. I have already registered for the Delaware Decision day also. We still have the same “Waiting for FAFSA” message, even though we didn’t file one. I have already told my D that she got in.

I was able to register for 8:30 am on the Delaware Decision Day.

I hope this is not a mistake.

Forgot to mention, if we click on “Finance Your Education” tab and “Pay your Bill” or something similar, we are able to log on with same logon and password as for My Blue Hen and D’s name pops up. I take that as a positive.

My blue hen never said anything about decision days and in the past two days simply has not changed at all. I’m worried this means I didn’t get in… can someone please help me with this?

bluemomo- We can also access the billing area, it has D’s name, but no $$

Same, no money udel15. fayth10: keep in mind that this is a very small sampling on College Confidential. Also, Admissions told you acceptances were coming out in waves. Could be true of the website updates too. Don’t give up hoping.

honda1955- We are registered for 8:30 as well, on the 9th. Also told daughter she’s in, she told everyone, posted on facebook etc. This would be a supremely cruel joke if it was an error. Tweet said the acceptances are in the mail, but all of them? Someone had posted that they would be released in waves. I truly hope it is just a timing issue with the FAFSA …

Same boat Udel15…told everyone, celebrated with friends, posted…it would be really bad. The fact we can log into pay your bills eases my concern, though…not everything disappeared…

fayth10- I think by the time you came on last night others were reporting that their link had disappeared, so it is hard to say if you had the change. Is your FAFSA received or missing?

look on the bottom of the right column mine says admitted for fall 2011

fayth10- can you access the billing area? Under finance your education: pay your bill:bill payment login:student login. Use your blue hen login info.
