<p>I live in Florida and my family income is about 65k...does UVA give good financial aid for OOS?</p>

<p>P.S. i have a 3.5 UW GPA and 32 ACT with decent ECs...merit aid maybe? or maybe not? lol.</p>

<p>UVA meets 100% of financial need for any student through a program called AccessUVA (mostly loans, but they are capped).
There is no merit aid through the university.</p>
<p>Well umm… I’m OOS and AccessUVA met my need through mostly grants. (My family income is about 45k). This year I got around 28k grants and 3.8k Pell, with some Perkin and Stafford thrown in.</p>
<p>I didn’t take out a dining plan (but first years have to) cuz I cook, so that reduced annual COA by roughly 3600 dollars (minus the 400-600 dollars on groceries I plan to spend per year). And I have one external scholarship (which pays 2k/yr).</p>
<p>I only had to take out Perkins this semester and Stafford subsidised. I took out no unsubsidised loans, and I had to borrow only 0.38k of Stafford subsidised this semester. But this is with another sibling attending school.</p>
