<p>I live in Florida and my family income is about 65k...does UCB give good financial aid for OOS?</p>
<p>Sorry if my question is stupid but I'm new to the board...thanks for everything in advance!</p>
<p>P.S. i have a 3.5 UW GPA and 32 ACT with decent ECs...merit aid maybe? or maybe not? lol.</p>

<p>I remember reading that the OOS fee of 22K cannot be covered by the university (through any means) due to some state law or other, so with a 65K income that is pretty steep. I’m not positive though - call them on Monday and ask (specifically bring this up).</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Berkeley does not offer much merit aid (aside from Regents and Alumni Scholarship, for which you need strong numbers and ECs and a little bit of luck) OR financial aid for OOS students - you may be eligible for pell grants and federal aid that could cover a portion of your costs, but you won’t be receiving cal grants or any other aid specific to California residents</p>
