<p>Is it pretty much impossible to get into North Carolina State from out-of-state like it is for the UCs? Does one need to be academically perfect to get in? even for non-engineering majors (Since I believe they are most well-known for that)</p>
<p>It’s more competitive than in-state, but it’s not as bad as the UCs. An OOS applicant in the top 10% with a 1950+ SAT has a decent shot.</p>
<p>Also, a lot may depend on the major you’re applying too. At NCSU, you apply directly to the college you hope to be in. Currently, the College of Engineering and the College of Management are the most difficult to gain admittance to as they are both highly sought after. Other colleges within in the university are less selective. The less sought after colleges are always looking for more admits. What do you hope to major in?</p>
<p>Definitely not in either CoE or CoM. Preferably in Education or in the Social Sciences…plus I’m pretty sure my SAT isn’t in the 1300s</p>
