How are you liking it so far? Is it hard to be from OOS at UMN?</p>

<p>everyone is definitely nice. from michigan so not really homesick. in a frat and also involved in a few other clubs. things are going well, i’m really glad i came here.</p>

<p>I’m from Wisconsin, but I’m the only one from my high school attending here. It’s great! I have developed a large friend base, probably split down the middle between other out of staters and kids from the 'burbs. I joined a fraternity and am a part of some other orgs. and it really helps make the campus/school feel smaller.</p>
<p>As for weather, I can’t complain. It hasn’t been that cold outside of a little 40 degree cold snap period of about 4 days. We probably won’t see any measurable snow accumulation until about Early December (I’ll guess December 10th haha). I wouldn’t shy away if you’re from NYC.</p>
