OOS getting instate tuition

Hey guys, quick question. What are the minimum requirements for an out of stater to get in state tuition? Thanks for the help!

I’d suggest asking the school instead of strangers on the internet … this may help get you started … [Legal Residency - Bursar’s Office](<a href=“Bursar's Office - Bursar's Office | University of South Carolina”>Bursar's Office - Bursar's Office | University of South Carolina)

The “McKissick Scholars Award,” which is the scholarship with the lowest standards that reduces tuition to instate(& includes a $2,000 scholarship off the instate amount) has an average SAT 1346. There are also awards with lower SAT’s that simply reduce out of state tuition but do not give a full reduction to the in-state value.

All but Woodrow in the OOS list give you in-state tuition. For McKissick, the first one with in-state, it says :

Is that 4.06 on a 4.0 scale?

It’s weighted… so probably on a 5.0 scale with AP/IB A’s being 5.0s.

Note that Woodrow doesn’t give you the full in-state rate but it is less than OOS.

The Cooper Scholars Award gives you instate tuition and $4000 a year. I got the McKissick. My weighted gpa at the end of junior year was a 4.12 and my sat (math and reading) was a 1350.
