OOS or In-State?

I’m not sure if anyone has answered this yet, but is it harder to get in as an OOS or In-State? I think someone posted somewhere that there is a 15% cap on OOS? I’m curious if anyone has done the math to see how this will impact the OOS applicant pool (either positively or negatively). Thanks.

CP caps the OOS percentage of student body at roughly 15%, but it’s unclear if they apply that by major. They probably don’t, but i can’t say for sure. That would mean, there might be more engineers from OOS than say Ag majors.

It’s been theorized that OOS is easier, because CP is less well known outside of CA. That’s probably offset by the fact that they are competing for fewer spots.

In the end, MCA scores reported on the Final Status threads have been pretty comparable.
