Question: Is it harder or easier for OOS applicants to be accepted? I've heard from many it's much harder to get accepted if you don't live in California, I've heard it's about the same acceptance rate and a girl in my french class(she lives in Mass, ranked 18/270, 2220 sat, got accepted to UCLA) said it's easier for people in my area because not a lot of people from N.E. apply there. I hope it's the last one, but probably not haha. any help would be appreciated!

Hello! If you look at the acceptance rates, they are just about the same. Some years, it is more difficult for OOS students to become accepted. The last two years, the OOS acceptance rate has been higher than the in-state acceptance rate. This might be due to higher stats in the OOS pool. There isn't any data that separates in-state from OOS stats.
