I'm assuming that my son will not get the OOS waiver since his SAT was 1320, but I am wondering what the chances are that he might get offered any other kind of scholarship. He is in the top 5% of his class and his weighted gpa is 4.5. He applied for the computer science major and he received (a long time ago) the provisional acceptance letter - but we haven't received an official acceptance packet yet. I assume that will come Feb. 15th. Will that packet include any other scholarship offers or do those only come at a later date? Is that OOS Waiver all or nothing? Do they ever offer a lower OOS scholarship?

Clemson does offer several smaller scholarships. I’m not sure when you’ll hear back from them since I didn’t get any of those when I was accepted haha

Cleaub,
My son received the OOS scholarship with his acceptance and received additional scholarships later in the spring after FAFSA submissions, etc (3 smaller ones totaling ~8K). I’m pretty sure the OOS waiver is all or nothing.

Thank you both for your answers! Anyone out there ever get a decent scholarship without getting the OOS waiver? I’m wondering if the same top kids end up getting all the money.
