Does FSU give OOS scholarships? And how generous are they? We have heard they don’t give very many to OOS students.
Thank you
The primary OOS scholarship is the OOS tuition waiver, which brings your costs down to less than $20,000 a year. There’s also a $2400 a year freshman scholarship. One can also apply for the Presidential Scholarship, which is highly selective but includes another $2400 a year plus a $12,000 stipend for study abroad. There are departmental or talent based scholarships, such as from the music school. Good luck!
@ BigHerms
what are your stats? DD also applied and is waiting to hear back
@vistajay thank you
@threebeans My Daughter’s stats
GPA: 4.0uw/5.26w
SAT: 1410
ACT: 33
NHS, SNHS, Interact, volunteer work, Band, theatre, TX state qualifier in Science
2 AP Courses (We live in rural TX school only offers 2 AP classes)
She wants to major in Environmental Engineering
And while it may not apply to your D, the big FSU OOS scholarship is the Benacquisto, which pays all costs of attendance if the applicant is a National Merit Finalist who selects FSU as their first choice with the National Merit Corp.
Would anyone who received an OOS waiver this year be willing to share their stats? I believe last year the full waiver required a 4.0 core weighted GPA and a 30 ACT/1410 SAT. Was wondering how this year will compare, if the test scores required will be higher…
