Curious to know if these waivers only come with the acceptance letter or if it's another letter entirely? My d was accepted and we were keeping our fingers crossed for a waiver but nothing was in the packet.

previous poster mentioned it was at the start of the second paragraph of his acceptance letter.
So again, is that it? If you didn’t get anything with acceptance are all merit scholarships, esp. OOS waiver out?

Other people have mentioned that there is a chance of getting several smaller scholarships (like $1,000 or so) after acceptance but it won’t be a huge scholarship.

Does anyone know what the basic cutoffs for the OOS waiver are? I have a 33 ACT and 4.0 gpa (unweighted). 6 APs, class rank 2 of 425. What are my chances?

My D originally got the OOS scholarship with her acceptance letter. It has since then been replaced with another scholarship that was a little more money (she was a NSP finalist). Her stats are similiar to yours, paige2292, but she was accepted back in October. When did you apply?

Here’s the info from the Clemson FA website:

Scholarships - Apply for admissions by December 1, with the admissions process completed by December 31 (Need-Based scholarships require the FAFSA submitted by March 1).

*SC Need-Based Grant-April 1 *Federal Perkins Loan-April 1 *Federal Work-Study-April 1 *Federal SEOG-April 1

Priority deadline for
Pell Grants-June 1
Student loans-June 1
Parent loans-June 1

New or un-awarded scholarships are awarded during the fall make-up period. Students who were accepted after the scholarship deadline, as well as students previously considered, will be reconsidered after October 15.

I’m a current senior but I’m taking a gap year to go abroad with Rotary Youth Exchange, so I won’t be applying until late this summer.

If you apply in the summer for the 2011-2012 year, you will be considered for an OOS scholarship as long as your application is complete by Decmeber 1.
