OOS UT Austin chance

I really want to go to UT Austin and I understand it is extremely difficult for an OOS to get in. I just want to know, realistically, if I would have a chance.

(10) AP Classes taken/ currently taking: World History, Language and Composition, Physics 1, Spanish Language, Computer Science, Statistics, Spanish Literature, Literature, Physics C: Mechanics, and Government.
(2) Honors Courses: Freshman, Sophomore English
(2) Advanced Courses: Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Special Topics in Computer Science

(New) SAT + Essay: 1300
Math: 690
Reading/ writing: 610

Other: 2 year jv soccer
3 year varsity track and field
2 years of deca (state qualifier)
NHS member
Work experience: Babysitter beginning of 9th- present (3hrs/ week), Restaurant worker: beginning of Junior year- present (20hrs+/ week)
Volunteer work: Sunday school teacher, Outreach worker for teen to teen helpline, food sorter/ distributor for homeless, tech theatre, thanksgiving food drive manager/ organizer.
Ethnicity (if it matters): Asian + Pacific Islander

Try and boost your SAT a little bit more if you can, but other than that you’re looking pretty good. I’m applying OOS at UT Austin too. Good luck!

I will try to major in computer science or finance.

Computer Science is a pretty high reach. The average ACT is around a 1380ish for in state and OOS, so you need at least a 1400 to be at average. Computer Science is a tough major especially for OOS. Try to get the SAT up (maybe try the ACT), and best of luck getting in.

I know CS tough to get into, with my current SAT score, that is why I recently took it again. I do also enjoy finance and the mathematics and statistics behind it all. My major is still undecided.
