when i read some of the thread posted here..
i see people talking about being OOS...
and being an international student from canada,,
i have no idea wat that is..
could someone please explain to me what that is?
thanks alot!

OOS stands for "out of state". For highly selective public universities, like Univ of Virginia, Univ of North Carolina, Univ of Michigan, Univ of Texas, out of state admission is much harder than in-state (mainly because universities like UNC and UVA reserve 80% of their sports for residents)

Texas isn't actually that hard to get into OOS. I'd say more Michigan, UVA, UNC, Berkeley, and UCLA.

if ur not top 10 percent it is, if u are then its not that hard

oh so ill be an oos applicant to michigan....
thanks.

you'll be an international, which is probably even more competitive than OOS.

wat is the acceptance rate for international students? to lsa

prolly very low, but being from Canada increases your chances. Do you have a "green card"?

no.im an international student studying in canada..

would that help?
