Will the admissions counselors go over your specific application
and tell you your admission status other than just wait ?

David-I’m about 99.9% sure they will not do that. I’m fairly sure there’s some serious issues/rules they would be breaking to do so. The only way you will hear back is by your online status, and once you recieve the rejected/accepted letter in the mail. They’re don’t make exceptions, and won’t do these things in person. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t leave a good impression on, say, someone on the admissions staff:)

Check in is at 8 am, correct. It’s loccated in the Pegasus Ballroom in the Student Union.

Write - I will deff take alot of photos and videos! I’ll post a few links in here, but I’ll probably just post most of them on my facebook, so you can feel free to stalk any time! hah

as21608 - go alone ! I’m sure you’ll be fine! You’ll be at UCF … passing out is the worst that can happen to you ! lol :)

daviddj - i mean im sure you will see counselors, and they will have sessions about admissions, however i highly doubt they can give out information like that. if you have questions though, i’m sure they can answer them

daviddj: when I went they said they will not give you specifc information but can answer general questions.

We will be going to Open House this weekend-my son did a tour last spring, but his dad didn’t get to go so we are going back. I really want him to look at the dorms before he decides on housing. What is everyone else looking at? I have a feeling he is going to go for Nike/Hercules or Libra-they are close to the wellness center, I think.

JGCmom - are you in state ? and i also did a normal tour in the summer. i truly like the location of nike/hercules and all , but i like apollo for the extra room, and the L pods in libra since theres a little bit more privacy. However, i also need to go down again to see for myself. And I think I will enjoy this tour better because it’s self guided and I can see things on my own time lol

seni0r-yes, we are in state, about 2 hours away. My son was looking at the map of the school earlier, and he really likes the locations of Nike/hercules and the set up for the Libra dorms. He wants to be near the gym, and also in a dorm that is more social. We didn’t get to see the dorms last time, and it was so hot that day we left right after the guided tour. He is really excited to visit again now that he has been accepted.

JGCmom - Yes me too! Is he starting fall or summer semester? I’m sure the Open House is going to be awesome!

Seni0r-he is starting summer semester. He wasn’t too thrilled about going for summer at first, but he wanted to go there so badly he decided applying for summer would give him his best chance of being accepted.

I am sure it will be great! It is a whole different experience going on a visit after you have been accepted-hopefully not so stressful!

I didn’t even know that there’s n open house this weekend! My younger brother just got in a couple of weeks ago into their honors program! :)

Yes! Being accepted was the best feeling, but being there is going to be even better! It’s going to feel so real now!

Honors program, very impressive!! Congrats!!!

Thanks :)! Congrats to you too! My brother is still waiting to hear from other school, but it’s awesome just knowing you have a place to go next year! I know that feeling back in the days!

Yes, honestly the GREATEST feeling of all time. And UCF was the first school I heard from, and the only one I really care about. Lol, I got accepted to another school a few days later, and it didn’t even phase me, haha.
