Sorry for the late post. Hoping to get to this earlier.

Just a heads up for any of you coming in this weekend for the Tulane Open House on Sat, Oct 3.

There is a Saints game against the New York Jets on Sunday, and since I know Tulane attracts many New Yorkers, was wondering if any New Yorkers, or other Jets or Saints fans, were planning to attend the game.

If you are, wanted to let you know that there will be heightened security because of recent terrorist threats and that they are advising people to arrive two hours before game time, just like when you take a plane.

So, if any of you are lucky enough to have tickets to the game, plan accordingly.

I think we'll have good weather tomorrow for the tour. Hope to meet some of you there!

Oh wow, I didn’t know there was a campus preview day tomorrow! I have friends from Baton Rouge coming in town to visit me. I hope the weather’s good too, and I hope you enjoy your tour, Montegut!

Just wanted to make a quick post that Tulane put on a FANTASTIC Open House yesterday. We had a great tour. Even having lived in New Orleans and visited the campus on occasion, there were many areas I had never seen. The academic quad behind Gibson Hall was just wonderful. And we even ate at Bruff Commons. And got to tour a dorm, Paterson. Really great visit. If you can make any of these open houses, I would highly recommend them.

The number of kids on campus on the weekend was great. This is not a suitcase college, for all you locals who are looking to go away. We met kids from Los Angeles, Minnesota, Chicago, Colorado, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Boca Raton, Birmingham, Nashville, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and even Israel! Quite a geographically
diverse group!

Thanks again to the Tulane staff and students for a wonderful Open House! Y’all really did a great job!
