So yeah, anyone checking out the open houses for accepted students next weekend at Boston University? I think they’re being broken down into colleges and majors. My open house is Saturday, April 14 during the day for Sargent and I know a few people from my school are going to the Arts and Sciences one on that Friday. But yea any plans for it?

I live in New Jersey and am leaving Thursday night. Will be in the city doing my own thing on Friday and then the open house on Saturday.

Likely: room with kids from your college answering questions, a speech by your dean, a presentation and q & a with faculty from your college / likely concentration, lunch and a tour of sorts, which includes housing at least sometimes. Parents tend to eat with the faculty.

no, not everyone goes to open house. you'll miss out on some info, but it's nothing super important. and especially if u live far from boston, transportation may be inconvenient. plus, you'll have to go to a 2 or 3-day orientation over the summer.

open house is mostly a chance for kids who were accepted but arent sure if they want to go to get a second look at the college. its like that for a lot of schools. i went yesterday and it was a bunch of presentations to choose from for two sessions and then lunch and housng tours. if you look on the admitted students page on the applicant link you can see the schedule for open house for CAS
