Open House

Hi everyone, I am an international student and got admission into PhD program at Georgetown. The department invites me to attend the Open House next month. I have no ties or friends at G'town. Therefore I want to know something about the Open House, such as: Will the department be responsible for the accommodation issues? How long does it usually take? How to travel from Washington Airport to G'town? Thank you.
Eager to join you-- though I'm aware that the majority of you are definitely younger than me. Let's be friends anyway.

Hey, I'm not really sure about the graduate open house, but for the undergrad open house we are responsible for our own accomodations, but there are plenty of hotels in the area. There are 2 or 3 airports that you can fly into. Tickets are usually cheaper if you fly into BWI, which is not in DC, but Baltimore I believe. To get from the airport to your hotel/campus, the airports offer shuttles, or you can rent a car. We found that it was cheaper to rent a car, but if you don't know the area well, I'd take a shuttle/airport limo. To travel around DC there is the metro and a bus system.

Hopefully this answered your questions.
