Please help me out.

It's crunch time, and I need to figure out what school will fit me best/what schools I am missing!

I want a smaller school, under 10,000 undergrad or possibly a public without overwhelmingly instate population, that has a beautiful campus, lots to do, in a cool town/city, greek life, and good academics for a school that fit's my stats.

So far I've applied to University of Colorado, Tulane, USC, UF, College of Charleston, and University of Miami. (I live in FL and attend a top 10 nationally ranked hs)

I am also planning on applying to SMU, but I know it's too conservative.

Basically I want a school similar to SMU, (my sister went here, and I love the campus/and how it is the quintessential college environment!) but not so snobby/close minded student body.......Please ANY suggestions!!! I'm interested in Psychology, Philosophy, and Film.

Thank You so so much, please help me out in any way possible!

PS- I also have Varsity Lax, and other good ECs as well as a great essay.

NYU
It’s not small (it’s huge), and it does not have a traditional campus. But…

UT-Austin
Again, may not meet all your criteria (size, demographics), but …

Rhodes is more like C of Charleston than any other school currently on your list. 1700 undergraduates, it’s in Memphis, TN (Graceland, Beale Street, blues clubs, barbeque, NBA basketball, AAA baseball, Memphis Tigers basketball, etc. etc.). Only 25% of the students are from TN. Your stats are a very good match. Psych, Philosophy, and Film are all good programs here. There’s a LAX club and I hear it’s trying to get varsity status.

How about University of Denver or Wake Forest?

What about Chapman?

Hmm im thought about University of Denver…

I’ve been suggested rhodes but i really don’t like the idea of memphis…

Anyone else have any ideas please!

Vanderbilt is like a more liberal SMU in some ways. Southern, urban, and about the same size. Big Greek scene. More of a reach, though.
