Alright so I'm looking for a school that will not only offer me great departments for study, and some great professors, but also a place that has a nice social life and where I will never run out of things to do.

I live in FL now and attend a top 10 HS in the nation, and have about a 3.7W GPA and a 2100 SAT.

I am liberal, but tolerant, enjoy learning, pondering this life, and discussion with others.
I also like sports, and would enjoy playing some intermurals, as well as possibly being involved with Greek Life.
I'm generally interested in a smaller school.

Please help me out on my search.
so far here are some I'm thinking about
-UMiami
-University of Colorado
-USC
-College of Charleston
-Georgetown (Deferred)
-GW
-Colorado College and University of Colorado
-University of Oregon.

I really need help with my list, trimming it, and adding some more schools. I'm starting to think I might like a LAC more and more.

Clark University is exactly what you are looking for. It has one of the top psychology programs in the nation, plus an urban (although gritty) location and a hip and liberal student body. App deadline is January 15, supplement deadline is February 1st.

You could use a financial safety, that would be University of Florida ( if accepted) though application deadine may have past. Even Florida State University if your big on the greek life, though not sure if FSU would fit other preferences you have besides sports.

But…U of Oregon and Charleston are okay? I actually think they are both terrific schools, as is Clark but I think your concern about rank is silly (and your info isn’t accurate).

Some of this has to do with OP’s location, other parts of it have to do with other factors (sports for one). CofC has an excellent reputation in OP’s home region, the Southeast, and many people will recognize U of Oregon for their prominence on the national sports scene. Not many people are going to recognize Clark, a small school in Worcester, MA.

It seems to me that with a 2100 SAT you need more reaches. You could add a reach liberal arts college (Middlebury, Davidson, Bowdoin, Wesleyan) and an LAC or two slightly easier to get into than the top 10–maybe look at Hamilton and Colgate (which, I think, both have greek scenes). Macalaster is a more urban LAC but a little more funky and I don’t know about the Greek scene.
