I’m starting to have second thoughts about applying, at least ED. I really like having open green space where you can just chill and throw a frisbee. I made a quick visit to the campus and whatever grassy areas there were, seemed really limited. Can anyone confirm or correct my assessment?

If what you saw and public green space at Parks/Museums isn't enough you need to go to a land grant school.......large, green lovely meadows. Hope you find what you want.....and have fun there.

Hill Field and the Quad come to mind

Hey Max!! I say......land grant school, vast open spaces, lots of green, say Purdue in West Lafayette, IN or Nebraska or Kansas or Iowa. OR NYU and Central Park.

If you only made a quick visit, you might have missed some spots.

I've seen people throwing a mean 'bee at the following locations:

Hill Field (sorry, Hill Square). It's HUGE
The College Green (when it's not crowded)
The Quad (you don't need to live there to go in)
Superblock (the giant swaths of field around the high rises)
The athletic fields (and soon the Postal Lands)
The field in front of Vance Hall.

Trust me, you'll be fine at Penn :-)

We even have our own mini-forest (Biopond). Great for hookups and potheads.

I can't think of a truly URBAN university with more open/greenspace than Penn. If you are an Olympian frisbee thrower and need excessive amounts of space, try Cornell.

My roommate loves frisbees and throws them every day here at Penn and has no complaints about space.

and want to be a business jock? There were many more reasons this dude wasn't wanting Penn but loved Brown.....including greater academic competition. I'll bet your roomie wears prep clothes and is in Wharton.....carries a brief case.

Of course. All Whartonites carry briefcases around campus.

The Armani suit feels lonely without it, after all.

Brown is the color of poop. Better to be confused with a state school than with feces.

It is Brown Bears and they are probably really smart bears, apparently smarter and more competitive than the Quaker! Hmmmmmmmm

Thanks guys. I guess I missed or didn't appreciate some of these spots.
