Hello everyone,

I am a transfer student from a CC and applied for Operation research and management science in berkeley. i just got admitted to the college of letter and science.

i basically finished most of the prerequisite at my CC and i have to take one more class in berkeley. does anyone know the way to declare the major i want after enrolling in berkeley ? what is the chance of getting into ORMS ?

i also got into math/econ in UCLA. does anyone have any opinion between the two(math/econ in ucla and ORMS in berkeley). i would love to go to berkeley if i could get into ORMS. but i am just afraid there is a possibility that i cannot get into ORMS.

thanks for any advice !!

it is amazing that berkeley let you take one of the prerequisite class after you transfer, I thought they will take away your admission if you can not compete the prerequisite by the end of spring. Anyone know how? Sorry I am little off topic here.

i will actually finish all the prerequisite by spring, that 1 class i have to take in berkeley is a class that is not offered by the college i am now enrolling at

Hi, I want to apply for operation research and management science in Berkely this year, so I wonder if I have to get a at least 3.8 GPA …

Some information can be found here:

If you attend Berkeley, but do not get into the ORMS major because it is capped, the applied math major is an obvious alternative major.
