I am planning to apply to UNC for operations management for the fall of 2015. When I am trying to select my major, there is no option for operations management.
Can someone please tell me if operations management is known by some other name at UNC ? And if yes, then what is it ?
UNC does not have distinct business majors. Students can customize their undergrad business major with an emphasis on operations, finance, etc. Someone who wants to “major” in operations management would choose an operations emphasis, taking the appropriate electives. Furthermore, prospective freshmen don’t apply directly to the business school. Undergrad business students must take core courses in College of Arts and Sciences before applying to business. In addition to the prerequisites, you will need to show a strong GPA and leadership potential to be considered for the business school.
