Opinion: Art colleges for international student

Hello,

I'm an undergraduate student from Mexico, taking honors baccalaureate at TEC highschool, a reputable latinoamerican institute.

Initially, I intended to study Digital Animation here a TEC but since the course here is very new (around 2 years old) I preferred to try international options. I know there's plenty of art institutes to go around in the states, but I can't afford to get into the top-notch (or just commercial) colleges like Full Sail.

While still in Highschool, I've taken some online courses, intending to get into a gnomon workshop course soonish. My focus is but is not limited to Game design, Animation and Digital Art, and I suppose around there somewhere creative writing. My grades aren't exceptional, though I suppose I do better than most and my english is acceptable, plus I've got an artsy reputation around.

I'm still missing a year in Highschool (over here we've got three) though I studied abroad for a year in Ireland and they didn't validate it when I came back here for whatever reason (maybe they'll take that into account and speed my admission process...maybe)

I'm not entirely sure how much my father intends to invest in me, though his limits shouldn't exceed 50 k a year. I've read good things about Ringling, SAA, among other highschools, though I was wondering if you guys could provide a different opinion...how are the art institutes?

Also, I would like to kow if any of you know good schools around these areas:
Missouri (Colombia), Texas, Chicago and Oklahoma.
I'm not gonna be picky with opinions, though it'd be appreciated if you could inform me about those areas (since they're the most accessable)

Bumping–I still have a year’s worth of thinking, but leads would help to speed the process. It seems that the vancouver film school is about the same price as Ringling and cheaper than Full Sail
