Opinion on Minors in Science Fields?

Hello everyone!

I am currently a sophomore majoring in Health Sciences: Pre-Clinical with the lifelong dream of becoming a Veterinarian. I chose to major in something more 'clinical' related because I love learning about the medical and diseases aspects of things and wanted to focus more on learning medical concepts rather than simply taking various biology and chemistry classes, etc. Although my dream is to become a Veterinarian, I am also considering the career fields of Physician Assistant and Nursing.

My question is regarding minors. Do you guys think minors are helpful in the science field (minors that are not business/accounting/management/entrepreneurship related). I was considering minoring in psychology, because I love the classes, or biology. Would a minor in either of those be appropriate or helpful or does anybody have experience or knowledge with if those minors or other minors would be helpful with the career paths I am looking towards?

Thanks!

Almost all of the people that I know that are pursuing science degrees are getting a minor is chemistry, psychology, etc. to put themselves higher when it comes to finding a job. I definitely think getting a minor would be helpful.
