I’m in MAR3025 now, and I guess you could technically call it time consuming. you can watch the lectures on double speed and still understand it, so it only takes like 2 and a half hours to get through a whole weeks worth of lectures.

just make sure you keep up with the lectures weekly, and then have a good week of time set out before each exam to read the entire smokin notes packet. To be honest, you could probably make it out with a low B if you decided to just read the smokin notes and not bother with the lectures at all, although I wouldn’t reccomend doing that. it is not a hard class, and I don’t think you should be worried about it. I don’t know about any of those other classes, although I have heard that acg2071 is really difficult.

The way alot of the business classes work is that they have like 400 or way more people registered for the class. there is one prof who does a lecture in bry 130 at the time listed, and it is recorded and put on elearning. you can either go to the live lecture or you can watch it online. what most people do is download it and then watch it on fast-forward. for mar3025 that works out because he talks pretty slowly and puts up a lot of commercials and stuff as examples. for this particular class, there are also semi weekly 10 question quizes on the elearning website, but they are not difficult at all.

Anyway, that is how a lot of the business classes work, besides like the upper level classes for your major and I think some of the business electives, oh and the calc classes. ACG2071, BUL4310, FIN3403, MAN3025 are some of the ones that are like that.
Also, to hedge this question cause I know you’re gonna ask it, it doesn’t matter which section you sign up for, whether it says WEB or bry130, you can still go to the live lecture if you want, or you can choose to not go to the live lecture if you don’t want to.

You may have registered for the live version of MAR 3025, but as is the case with all the business core classes, you can watch them on the web and not attend the live classes. They are recorded live and available shortly after the live class to watch online.

While new students tend to want the live classes for the social aspects, many end up preferring to watch them online due to the flexibility of when you can watch them.
