I start wondering if the wife is a just another baby machine and the husband is a chauvinist.

I only want 1 child or none, not because I hate children but because I don't want to be completely chained by the husband AND the child combined. shudders
This ain't the period when women have to be glued to the home anymore. That scares me.

I'd like to be a stay at home dad for a while. But not for long; I'd go insane!

People seriously need to know how to use birth control. Soon the population of the US will catch up to that of China's. Kudos to those women who endured through the pain of 5 childbirths. I don't know if I can even put up with one.

lots of people use birth control...it's not always effective.

yeah, but it is more effecting than not using it. and it's mostly effective. if you use condom and pill then you're in good shape i think.

As a single mum of 3 + 1, I'd have to say that having a "lot" of kids doesnt set you up for financial security... I'd suggest to anyone who DOESNT have a lot of kids yet that you consider achieving the financial security FIRST, then have a lot of kids (if desired, required or unavoidable only) Achieving financial security first also helps when hubby runs off with the receptionist leaving you to raise them on your own on the equivalent of minimum wage! LOL
